The PreConAgri research project is about the application of Conservation and Precision Agriculture techniques to reduce the impact of conventional agricultural practices on climate change through soil carbon sequestration with an increase in soil quality and production. Pilot applications are carried out in model fields of durum wheat, in two Greek regions with severe erosion problems, Krokos Kozanis and Nikaia Larissas. Pilot applications include the implementation of conservation agriculture methodologies, differential fertilization as well as controlled movement of machinery. The results will enhance field sustainability, maximizing benefits for the farmer and the environment.
