This Special Issue, titled “Smart Robotics and Sensors for Climate-Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture” in the journal Agronomy, brings together recent advances in smart robotics and sensing that strengthen the climate resilience and sustainability of agricultural production. Over the last two decades, precision agriculture has moved from GPS-guided machinery toward autonomous robotic platforms and dense sensor networks. Progress in machine vision, artificial intelligence, IoT connectivity, and low-cost sensing now allows crops, soil, and water to be monitored and managed at spatial and temporal resolutions that were previously impossible, opening the way to farming systems that are both more productive and more resilient to climatic stress. The scope includes autonomous ground and aerial robots; robotic weeding, spraying, and harvesting; proximal and remote sensing for crop, soil, and water status; IoT and wireless sensor networks; AI-driven decision support; and the integration of these technologies into climate-smart, resource-efficient farming systems.
